240 minutes of live call time, which is about six client calls a month. Notes, threads and asking questions are never charged for, so what you pay tracks the calls you actually took.

How it is counted

Charged while it listens, free the rest of the time.

The thing that costs money is a live call being transcribed and coached. Everything around it is not.

What counts
Time on a live call, while a recording is actually running. Opening the app, capturing, building a thread and asking questions against it are not charged for.
What a plan covers
240 minutes of live call time a month, or roughly six client calls. The app tells you where you stand rather than leaving you to guess.
Going past it
You pay for the time you used beyond the 240 minutes. No overage penalty, and no forced upgrade in the middle of a call.
Trying it first
Your first 30 minutes are free, with no card and every feature switched on. That is a real client call, not a demo.
Seeing the cost
Each call shows what it cost while you are still in it, split by model, because transcription and the assistant do not run on the same one.
Stopping
Cancel and the app keeps working on what is already on your disk. Your threads, transcripts and archives are local and stay that way.
Questions

The ones that come up first.

Does Context send everything I copy?

No. Capture and sending are separate steps. Cards accumulate locally, and each one has an include toggle. Only what is switched on in the current thread is sent, and only when you send a message.

Do I need an API key or a provider account?

No. That was how earlier versions worked and it is gone. Context runs the transcription and the assistant for you, so you install the app, sign in, and start.

How does the pricing work?

Your first 30 minutes are free, which is a real client call rather than a demo. After that a plan is $19 a month for 240 minutes of live call time, about six client calls.

How do I know what a conversation cost?

The app shows the cost of each conversation as it runs, broken down by model, because transcription and the assistant can run on different ones. Token counts sit behind that for anyone who wants them.

Do I need everyone's consent to record?

Often, yes. Laws on recording conversations differ by country and by state, and many require consent from everyone involved. Context never records on its own, but deciding whether you may record, and asking, is your responsibility.

How is recording both sides of a call handled?

Context captures your microphone and the system output as separate streams, so the transcript knows which side each line came from, and the coach knows which side it is advising.

Does it work offline?

Capture does. Clipboard, screenshots, files and recording all work with no network. Transcription and the assistant need a connection, since that is where the models run.

Can I move my data to another machine?

Export a .ctxbackup archive and import it on the other machine, or set both machines to the same sync folder. The archive contains the database and its screenshots, thumbnails and audio.

Which platforms are supported?

macOS and Windows, with automatic updates on both. Context lives in the menu bar or tray and answers to global shortcuts wherever you are.
